New Super-Bright LED Lamps

Aliso Viejo, California - AZ Displays, Inc. introduces super-bright LEDs operational at 150 mA and 350mA. Available in a unique patented package, super-bright LEDs come either with pure white, multi-color, or distinct colors (Red, Green, Blue, etc.). The Multi-Color type lamps can be pre-programmed to gradually change various colors and shades.

Differently from conventional white LEDs, AZ Displays super-bright LEDs of white type use an alternative Red/Green/Blue technology to create white light output with consistent color temperature for extended periods of time (unlike phosphorous-based white LEDs, which typically fade with continued exposure to sunlight). AZ Displays super-bright LEDs can withstand storage temperatures of up to +/- 100 degrees Celsius.

Since this is a high-power type electronic component, the higher heat producing lamps (of White, Blue, Pure Green, and Cyan colors) are recommended to be used in conjunction with heat-sinking devices and Aluminum-based PCBs to help with heat dissipation. In addition, it is recommended to design a drive circuit in series with extra protection for ICs to limit the current flow. In parallel connection, each IC should be protected individually.

AZ Displays super-bright LEDs are optionally available as single SMT lamps (for various electronic device applications) or in a row on long PCB and wire strips with optional LED driver board (more suitable for decorative lighting). All AZ Displays super-bright LEDs are fully tested and shipped in anti-static protective packaging.
